An Empathetic Introduction to Cancer Prevention.
In this video, I want to give you an introduction to cancer prevention based on metabolic therapy or the metabolic approach.
At this point, I want to clearly and unequivocally state that I do not presume, with my videos, to criticize conventional cancer therapies or to elevate myself above them. However, I also know firsthand the suffering that cancer causes for those affected and their families.
My aunt and uncle both contracted and died from cancer, and I experienced the processes firsthand. Everything I mention in this module serves merely as a complementary therapy or prevention and is what I also do in my daily life to best prevent the proliferation of cancer cells.

Cancer Prevention after Metabolic Therapy.
Cancer prevention after metabolic therapy.
It is important for me to explicitly mention once again that this form of cancer prevention or treatment is not intended to replace conventional treatments. I cannot and must not assume that responsibility. For me, it merely serves as another key in the fight against cancer and against the development of cancer.
Anyone who wants to try a ketogenic diet is very welcome to do so. There is nothing inherently for or against a ketogenic diet. However, studies show that a ketogenic diet is healthier the more plant-based foods are included in the diet. In my experience, I therefore do not recommend basing the diet on animal products.

Summary
Nutrition plays an important role in cancer prevention. There is extensive scientific evidence that certain foods can reduce the risk of developing cancer by possessing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. A balanced diet rich in nutrients and bioactive compounds can help protect the body from cell damage and strengthen the immune system.
Lettuce
Lettuce is an excellent example of a vegetable that belongs in a cancer-preventive diet. Especially green lettuce varieties such as head lettuce, lamb's lettuce, or arugula contain many antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and prevent cell damage that can lead to cancer. Lettuce is also rich in fiber, which supports digestion and can reduce the risk of colon cancer. Regular consumption of fresh lettuce helps to strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation.
Cruciferous Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage are particularly valuable foods in a cancer-preventive diet. These vegetables contain sulforaphane, a compound that has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have shown that sulforaphane can inhibit the growth of cancer cells and slow down the development of tumors. Cruciferous vegetables also promote the body's detoxification and strengthen the immune system, which also plays a role in protecting against cancer.
Sauerkraut
Sauerkraut, made by fermenting cabbage, is not only a delicious part of the diet but also an important source of probiotic bacteria that promote gut health. A healthy gut flora is crucial for a strong immune system and the prevention of colon cancer. In addition, sauerkraut contains phytochemicals such as flavonoids, which have anti-inflammatory effects and can reduce the risk of cancer cell development.
Garlic
Garlic has been known for its healing properties for centuries and has also proven to be an effective agent in cancer prevention. It contains sulfur compounds such as allicin, which have anti-inflammatory effects and can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Garlic also has an antioxidant effect that helps prevent cell damage. Furthermore, garlic can strengthen the immune system to better ward off cancer cells.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes are an excellent source of the antioxidant lycopene, which is particularly associated with a reduced risk of prostate and breast cancer. Lycopene has strong antioxidant properties and protects cells from harmful free radicals that can cause DNA damage. In addition, regular consumption of tomatoes promotes healthy skin and strengthens the immune system, which can also contribute to cancer prevention.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the prevention of cancer, especially colon, breast, and prostate cancer. It is believed that vitamin D supports cell repair and inhibits the growth of cancer cells. Adequate vitamin D supply, which can be achieved through sunlight exposure and certain foods such as fatty fish, eggs, or fortified products, is therefore important for cancer prevention.
Berries
Berries such as blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber. Especially anthocyanins, the pigments in berries, have a strong antioxidant effect and can protect DNA from damage by free radicals. Studies have shown that berries can slow down the growth of tumors and reduce inflammation in the body. Regular consumption of berries can thus reduce the risk of many types of cancer.

Soy, Isoflavones, and Breast Cancer
Soy has repeatedly attracted attention in cancer prevention research, especially concerning breast cancer. The main reason for this is isoflavones, a group of plant compounds found in soy and other legumes. Isoflavones such as genistein and daidzein have structural similarities to estrogen, a hormone that can play a role in the development of breast cancer. However, these isoflavones do not act like human estrogen but bind to estrogen receptors in the body and can, in certain cases, exert a protective effect by modulating the action of the body's own estrogen. This potentially reduces the risk of developing hormone-dependent breast cancers.
There is evidence that regular consumption of soy products, especially in early life or premenopausal years, may be associated with a reduced risk of breast cancer. Even in women who have already had breast cancer, the consumption of soy products could prevent or slow down recurrence, as isoflavones are capable of inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.
In addition to soy, there are other plant-based foods that can offer protection against cancer. Flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds are particularly noteworthy, as they are rich in lignans, another group of plant compounds that have similar protective properties to isoflavones. Lignans have antioxidant and estrogen-like properties that can slow down the growth of cancer cells in breast and prostate tissue. Flaxseeds, in particular, are known to reduce the risk of breast and prostate cancer, as they contain not only lignans but also fiber and healthy fats.
By incorporating these foods into the diet, e.g., through regular consumption of soy, flaxseeds, or pumpkin seeds, one can naturally support health and possibly reduce the risk of hormone-dependent cancers. Of course, these foods should be considered part of a balanced and varied diet that also includes other healthy lifestyle habits such as regular exercise and low alcohol intake.
